The RONA Foundation

To provide recommendations on how RONA and the RONA Foundation could improve the impact of its investments in the community.

Scope/Description of Involvement:

• Review and analyze the community programs of RONA and its key competitors: Home Depot, the Canadian Tire Foundation for Families and Lowe's as well as two successful Canadian foundations: Ronald McDonald House Charities and Tim Horton Children's Foundation
• Evaluation of current programs, competitive environment and strategic opportunities in order to determine the focus of community investment programs, how programs are communicated, key non-profit partners, and the degree to which these initiatives are of business benefit

Deliverables:

• A report for the RONA Foundation

Outcomes/Benefits:

Recommendations developed regarding the strategic focus of the Foundation, development of a national partnership program, and opportunities to improve internal and external communications.
